Established in 2013, Orquestra XXI is an award-winning project that brings together around 50 young Portuguese musicians resident abroad with the dual aim of maintaining a strong link between these young people and their country of origin, and taking moments of musical excellence to the most diverse audience possible. While the first part of the programme they perform at Casa da Música reflects the influence of the Baroque in masterpieces of the 20th century, the second part takes place entirely around the theme of Beethoven.
