Trio Portucale consists of three of the most promising Portuguese musicians of the new generation. Violist Ricardo Gaspar won the Young Musicians Award and Maestro Silva Pereira/Young Musician of the Year Award in 2012, and returned to the event in 2014 to win the award in the Chamber Music category, and GDA Award along with Catarina Oliveira and Zita Silva. The trio’s main reference is the work of Debussy, evident in its concert at Fundação Gulbenkian. At Casa da Música the three musicians will be premiering a work commissioned to the Young Composer in Residence, Nuno da Rocha.
