In its 15th anniversary, Remix Ensemble is delighted to present the posthumous world premiere of Un calendrier révolu, by Emmanuel Nunes, a composer that will forever be associated with the history of this contemporary music ensemble.
Described in The Guardian as “one of the most powerful, ambitious and extravagant creations of Helmut Lachenmann”, Concertini - premiered in 2006 - takes us to a highly innovative, bold, rich and sophisticated universe, oscillating between moments of great intensity and the most refined and fragile sound filigree where the spatial distribution plays a decisive role. The programme is complete with a new work by the Young Composer in Residence and the famous Scherzo from Mahler’s first symphony.
