The Borealis Ensemble presents “Música nova para instrumentos antigos”, a proposal that intends to reinvent and deconstruct the concept of instrument/historical repertoire, looking for new perspectives in the interpretation and musical creation for recorder and pianoforte. The project, supported by Direcção Geral das Artes in 2015, will accomplish a tour of concertos commented by the performers and the recording of two CDs that propose a dialogue between diverse repertoires and different times, focusing on the music of Portuguese authors. The program features some of the works recorded on this second CD, that includes the premiere of a work by Vasco Negreiros, and the collaboration of Carla Caramujo, that joins the Borealis Ensemble for the first time, marking the beginning of new vocal projects.
