Anaquim are preparing to release their fourth album, O Quarto de Anaquim. The new work shows the band at a crossroad between their origins and new paths, where one can find bluesmen who sold their souls to the devil, wagons headed to New Orleans, the roots of country and jazz and the transformation they suffered in the hands of their European cousins. This intersection between the old and the new world could only take place in Portugal, expressing itself in its contradictions and everyday life – both visionary and nostalgic –, in its doubtful optimism and in the strike of its clock. More specifically, this intersection could only occur in O Quarto de Anaquim.
