Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos will collaborate once again with the Estado da Nação series, in one of its areas of expertise: the Portuguese repertoire for big band. The programme combines various composers who affirm their musical identities by intersecting various influences, from jazz to classical music. This will be an opportunity to listen to pieces specially written for the OJM in recent years (some of them commissioned by Casa da Música, the Municipality of Matosinhos and APDL) and new works commissioned to composers and pianists who are well-known in the Portuguese jazz scene.
